Mrs. Kristin Carsten graduated with a B.A. in Sociology in 2006. Her love for people and cultures led to her work in Athens, Greece for a year working with students at The University of Athens. She has certifications in K-12 ESL, Special Education, English 8-12, and Generalist 4-8. She has spent several years in the public school setting teaching Inclusion in various subjects including English and Social Studies. Her most recent teaching assignment was teaching English Language Learners skills for the workforce.
What I love most about teaching at ILA is the opportunity to interact with students in a one-on-one setting. I enjoy the opportunity to know their personalities and give feedback in personal ways. It’s an incredibly supportive and responsive environment!
