Mrs. Kristin Carsten

Mrs. Kristin Carsten graduated with a B.A. in Sociology in 2006. Her love for people and cultures led to her work in Athens, Greece for a year working with students at The University of Athens. She holds multiple teacher certifications and spent several years in the public school setting teaching Inclusion in various subjects including English and Social Studies before coming to Ignite.

What she loves most about teaching at ILA is the opportunity to interact with students in a one-on-one setting. She enjoys the opportunity to know their personalities and give feedback in personal ways. It’s an incredibly supportive and responsive environment!

Fun facts about Mrs Carsten:

  • I love personality tests!  My personality is INFJ (The Advocate: An Advocate (INFJ) is someone with the IntrovertedIntuitiveFeeling, and Judging personality traits. “They tend to approach life with deep thoughtfulness and imagination. Their inner vision, personal values, and a quiet, principled version of humanism guide them in all things.” -16
  • Outside of getting to know her student’s personalities…Coffee, exercising outdoors, podcasts and baby giggles make her smile every day

“Treat people as if they were what they ought to be and you help them to become what they are capable of being.”- Johann Wolgang Von Goethe
