Mrs. Leta Hamilton graduated from Hardin-Simmons University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She began her career in education teaching first and second grade Gifted and Talented in her hometown in Texas. She believes wholeheartedly that building relationships with students is essential, and that educating them is a multifaceted, and a never-ending journey. Her work with Gifted and Talented students taught her how to think outside the box, and that learning doesn’t always happen sitting in a desk! She embraces a whole body approach to teaching, and enjoys nothing more than getting on her students’ level to be silly, grow together, and foster a love of life long learning!
Mrs. Hamilton lives with her husband and two sons in Argyle, Texas. She enjoys being outside, going on family hikes, doing activities with her boys, reading children’s books (she has quite the collection!), running early in the morning, and decorating for holidays.
What she loves most about Ignite Learning Academy is how unique and personalized it makes learning. Individualized learning allows every student the opportunity to grow at their own pace, making it more fun and more effective. Mrs. Hamilton’s nurturing and enthusiastic personality make her the perfect fit for ILA’s little learners!
