Art Camp: Drawing (6/14 - 6/17)
This camp occurs virtually June 14 - June 17 from 12 - 2PM Pacific (3-5PM EST).
One registration covers all children within the same household!
A supply list will be sent prior to camp so families can secure the needed supplies for the week.
This camp is led by a professional artist and teacher that will allow students to develop their art skills. Campers will focus on the
principles of art as they learn about lines, shapes, color, proportion, and other art skills necessary to create impressive drawings. All
abilities are welcome!
🍂Monday: Sharpen your pencils and open your sketch books! Today we will examine how to use line, shape, and proportion as we draw from nature. You will use your powers of observation, looking closely at objects you select from the natural environment around your home or from your own collections.
✏️Tuesday: Shading and value are today's focus. What makes a sketch into an extraordinary work of art? Learn how to use the value scale from 1 – 10 and crosshatching to bring a dimensional quality to the items you draw.
😜Wednesday: Today is wacky Wednesday where you get to take a path of your own. Use the techniques you've practices on the preceding days to develop a cartoon-style image of your own.
🎨Thursday: Today is the day campers will create their final piece and add in color. Break out the colored pencils and we will create a spectacular setting sun with a silhouette of your own choosing!
All abilities are welcome!
