Testimonials from Ignite Learning Academy families

Ski Racer

Parent at Ignite Learning Academy Charlotte NC

Flexible Sports Schedule

Parent of ski racing student

The staff and school model works really well for our family’s situation which is a student that is a ski racer who is skiing 5 days a week so a traditional model is not compatible and independent study doesn’t meet the social and accountability needs of the learner.

We truly love our school and the opportunity it affords our son to do what he loves and is good at without compromising his educational quality or his sport training either…the best of both worlds!

S. Morgan

Teacher Support & Communication

S. Morgan - Parent of preschool, 2nd, and 7th grade students

"Ignite is such a perfect fit for my children. They are allowed to work at their ability level, while still being able to interact with peers. The combination ensures not only academic success, but social success as well.

The teachers have open lines of communication for both parents and students, and reach out to offer assistance, encouragement, and praise. The teachers reached out to me before the semester began in order to find out my childrens' strengths, weaknesses, likes, and dislikes. They continued to reach out throughout the semester to check up on how we were feeling about their classes, work, etc.

All of the teachers are happy, engaging, and motivate my children to be the best version of themselves. My family is excited to have found Ignite Learning Academy."

Competitive Athlete

Flexible Athletic Schedule

Parent of competitive athlete

ILA gives us personalization and the ability to fit into the life of our child and this is unmatched with other schools. Our daughter is a competitive athlete and Ignite allows her to get an amazing education without giving up the sport/training that she is dedicated to doing. Also they truly meet the child where they're at.
Unlike her last school that had nothing for high achievers, the ability to do honors classes or skip up a year in math because she was ready keeps her challenged and engaged. We can't say enough great things about Ignite!

Holly

Genuine Help & Support

Holly - Parent of child with special needs

"For the first time since preschool, I finally feel like I have genuine help. I have a team that believes in and supports my son. A team that only wants the best for him. I finally feel like I can take a breath knowing I don't have to worry every day about his education. I now see what it's like to have a team who is willing to do whatever they can to best support him in school."

Phil Lockwood shares how his son Colt, an Ignite Learning Academy student, keeps up with real teachers, live classes, and a full high school transcript while their family travels across all 7 continents. As Phil puts it, ILA isn't homeschooling — it's a real school that goes wherever they do.
